If the proposed California bill AB2223 becomes law, it will allow the murder of BORN children by their mothers, doctors, and anyone else who helps them kill their babies, for days if not weeks after they are born. And if the police investigate the cases, they can be sued. The clear majority of lawmakers here in California are becoming increasingly wicked. Killing the unborn isn’t enough for them; no, a growing number are advocating killing kids WELL AFTER they are born. And this is only one area where evil is spreading in our culture and in our world. (We should all thank God and pray for the righteous leaders who are taking a stand for what is good and right and true).
What kind of sickness, depravity, barbarity has been evolving, not only in California, but elsewhere, too? It appears that in many ways the Restrainer of 2 Thessalonians 2 is being removed, and both lawlessness and wickedness are on the rise. Clearly, there is a showdown of global proportions in the spiritual realm, manifesting on the earth as good vs evil, God vs satan, the Kingdom of Christ vs the kingdom of darkness.
We know that Jesus will ultimately win this battle – actually, He has already won, by virtue of His shed blood on the Cross and His Resurrection from the dead. But what about what’s happening now, on this earth? Is it possible that God will turn things around, that revival will come, that good will triumph over evil rather than continuing the downward spiral toward death and destruction?
If there were ever a time for Christ’s followers to stand in the gap in earnest and concerted prayer together, seeking God for the grace of repentance and spiritual awakening, this is that time. Help us, Lord Jesus.
