LET IT NEVER BE SAID OF YOU: “The God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.”
These are Daniel’s prophetic words of judgment to King Belshazar before translating/interpreting “the handwriting on the wall” in Daniel 5. There is so much laxity among professing Christians these days. One example: I read that around 80 percent of single evangelical believers are currently engaging in sexual immorality (sex outside of marriage). It’s important to remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality… I warn you, as I did before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21).
“Flee from sexual immorality… Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” (I Corinthians 6:18-20).
