THE WORDS OF JESUS:
“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:10-12).
I’m finding these verses to have increasing relevance in these days. Many are falling away from the faith (some by trying to redefine it); lots of betrayal and hatred going around, with innumerable false accusations and lies; increasing wickedness on numerous fronts; greater difficulty in loving those we consider wicked…
Somehow we must learn to be resilient, to rise above the fray in the power of the Holy Spirit and be true to the King we represent – maintaining faithfulness to truth in the spirit of love; demonstrating His holiness, compassion, and forgiveness; pointing others to Him as the Prince of Peace, the only hope and Savior of this world.
